STACY KROOT
DESIGNER
Inspiration is everywhere. Staying open with a fascination for the incongruous is what defines my sensibility. I can talk about creative ideas and the human condition for hours...
like a never ending roadmap with switchbacks, where songs become sculptures, swimming becomes a graphic design, washing dishes becomes...well, I should be honest....
I'm not that into washing dishes.
Beyond my artistic voice, I love to help others find and experience theirs.
MY HISTORY
I have been an artist all my life, working professionally in the art and visual design field for over 26 years, including freelancing, independent commissions and teaching. The approach I bring to all visual design comes with a strong support structure from hands-on knowledge of painting, sculpture, photography, graphics, prop & display production, installation art, woodworking, metal, ceramics, interior architecture and design. These skills allow me to be flexible, delivering thoughtful problem solving solutions, for unique and creative end products.

I'M AVALIABLE
I begin the design process with a series of questions to define the scope of your project and budget. This is important to create a clear understanding of your objectives and goals. Once a direction is established we enter the conceptual development phase. Because art and design are amorphic, things will change and a spark of hidden genius we did not anticipate, may show itself. This is the exciting part!
My end goal is for your project to have top visual appeal while retaining the best functional solutions.

TESTIMONIALS
"Great design isn’t created in a bubble. Stacy opened herself up for an amazing dialogue for what my vision was for, not only my logo but for what I wanted to envision spatially in my yoga studio.
No matter how experienced or talented a designer is (and let me tell you she is), collaboration is necessary. Don't get me wrong she does not need to be micromanaged, on the contrary she is a go-getter. She was a joy to work with.
The result was an absolute fantastic one of a kind eye-popping logo. And her designing assistance in my yoga studio created a wonderful Feng Shui for all that entered. People would say "Wow, what a wonderful peaceful feeling I get when I'm here, I love your studio".
As a big bonus...some of the techniques I learned from working with Stacy designing my Yoga Studio filtered in my organization and designing of my home. So now I have a more peaceful home I refer to as my Zen Den. Thanks to Stacy I live a more abundant, tranquil life."

“Stacy is so creative. But her work is always practical and communicates what we need it to – whether it is an invitation, website or piece of art.”

Having worked with Stacy she proved to be multifaceted, drawing on her artistic background, experience in many media, interior design and installation to nurture and develop the talents of our artists. Her experience and technical knowledge allowed us to expand the efforts of our program to enrich the experience for our artists and visitors. Stacy also applied her artistic eye and flair in designing our events, exhibitions, advertising and print, always receiving high praise and appreciation from our patrons She also donated original works to our fundraising events garnering top bids in our live auctions.
I would highly recommend her for anything you may need requiring an artistic eye.

Stacy Kroot is a visual alchemist. She has a way of looking at a problem and finding a solution which is elegant, efficient and novel. She was instrumental in solving some challenging problems for my interior design project. In addition, Stacy is very detail oriented, considering things I never would’ve thought of. She is careful to think through all aspects of design and also to consider the costs. She is easy to work with and easy to get along with. Working with Stacy was truly a pleasure!
